Quality Education for Children with Disabilities.

Children with disabilities face significant challenges in accessing quality inclusive education in many countries worldwide, and the story is no different in Croatia and Serbia. The Lipoid Stiftung and the Perkins School for the Blind are committed to making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities and their families in these two countries.

Children with disabilities often miss out on opportunities enjoyed by their peers without disabilities, such as receiving a quality education, accessing learning materials, and fully participating in society. This is due to a global lack of expertise and quality programs tailored to their needs.

The primary objective of this project is to enhance the quality of local programs by converting them into model programs that will inspire other institutions to follow their example. This approach is intended to create a ripple effect that will expand the reach of high-quality education and care for children with disabilities and promote the development of more programs that provide quality learning for children with disabilities.

Currently, 16 sites are being supported in Croatia and Serbia. They include community-based programs, schools and residential institutions that provide quality education to children with disabilities by providing tailored learning.

By fostering an inclusive environment, barriers are broken down and these children are empowered to reach their full potential.
